Absolutely all the players and coaches who have worked with him can confirm with great enthusiasm that Marc-André Fleury is truly an outstanding person and teammate.

However, last night he was put in a very difficult situation on the road, when his head coach Dean Evason sent him into the fray, less than 48 hours after his young teammate Filip Gustavsson was the hero of game one.
The Wild's young goalie delivered one of the best performances in NHL history (51 saves on 53 shots), so Fleury had a lot of pressure on his shoulders to keep up with Gustavsson's pace.
Result : it didn't go well. He allowed 7 goals on 31 shots in a 7-3 loss for his team.
In a heartbreaking scene, Fleury seemed ashamed of himself and terribly disappointed in the post-game press conference.
It was really unpleasant to see.
See a summary, via the TVA Sports article "Shame overtakes Marc-André Fleury".
"You know, I wanted to step up and give my team a chance to stay in the game and win it. That's not what I did. I gave up too many goals. Basically, I didn't make the key saves," said Fleury.

"It's not the start I was hoping for. I don't know when my last game was, but I have to fix it. I've played this sport long enough and had good practices before. It shouldn't have happened."

He did not hesitate to take all the blame for the defeat upon himself, but his teammates and coach have all defended him in the media.
Let's hope Fleury can come back strong. He deserves it so much!
