Crazy scene: Shirtless man gets arrested for climbing the Eiffel tower
We witnessed a surreal scene during the last few hours, live from the Paris 2024 Olympics, when a man climbed the Eiffel Tower.
You read that correctly.
It was a British citizen who was clearly looking for a way to get noticed, and let's just say he succeeded.
He outright decided to climb the Eiffel Tower, without any protection and with his bare hands, and authorities obviously had to intervene.
This happened on Sunday afternoon, during the closing ceremonies of the 2024 Olympic Games, live from Paris.

He was eventually apprehended and taken into custody by the authorities, after causing the complete (temporary) closure of the Eiffel Tower.
An investigation is ongoing in this case.
It involves "endangering others and trespassing in a historic or cultural site."

Let's just say, given the circumstances, he got off lightly and avoided disaster.
