In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens organization released a big official statement that was highly anticipated.
It's a big medical update to shed light on a number of rather strange issues, including Joel Armia's injury.
See an excerpt from the official CH press release:
"Forward Joel Armia left Tuesday's game in New Jersey because he wasn't feeling well. He will miss today's practice and his participation in Friday's game in Philadelphia is questionable. He is day to day.
Forward Kirby Dach won't join the team on the road in Philadelphia. Dach was earlier diagnosed with a non-covid related illness that has sidelined him since February 16. Through the course of further medical evaluation and testing, it was determined that the illness-like symptoms were related to a lower-body injury.
Defenseman Joel Edmundson's rehab is progressing well. The Club will provide a further update at the end of the week.
Defenseman Chris Wideman is sidelined with an upper-body injury. He is considered week-to-week." The Kirby Dach case is of concern to many.
"I don't think I've ever seen this before." - Arpon Basu
