A huge setback has just struck the Tampa Bay Lightning and it could change everything
After a really dream start for the Tampa Bay Lightning, things are really getting tougher for Jon Cooper's team against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Beyond the goals scored by the Leafs, and beyond the revival of the Toronto crowd, here (by far) is the worst news of the day for them:
He really tried to come back in the game, but it just seemed impossible for him.
Hedman seems to be seriously injured, and it would be a huge loss for both the Lightning and goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy, who would lose his best defenseman.
This is a story to follow closely and could make a huge difference in this first-round series.
Hedman, 32, scored 85 points last season and 49 points this season. (Combined differential of +36) He is definitely one of the three most valuable players for the Lightning.
Update: Even worse, defenseman Erik Cernak, who plays big minutes for Tampa Bay, also seems to be injured.
