Things are heating up in Toronto following the Maple Leafs' elimination at the hands of the Florida Panthers last night.
After dropping yet another Game 7, there were long faces in the locker room.
That said, last night's loss feels like it's going to leave a mark, and it really seems like major changes are coming for the Maple Leafs - especially concerning the so-called "Core Four" of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares.
Auston Matthews Sends a Message After the Game in Toronto
Following the 6-1 loss, captain Auston Matthews publicly called out some of his teammates who didn't show up for the game and who were "passengers."
"I thought we had too many passengers," says Leafs captain Auston Matthews, who had two shots on goal tonight.

Things are likely to stay tense in Toronto for days, especially after Mitch Marner appeared to agree with Matthews' surprising statement.
