Following their elimination in seven games against the Dallas Stars, the Seattle Kraken have directly placed a forward on waivers in the National Hockey League.
As reported by journalist Renaud Lavoie from TVA Sports, the Kraken have made forward Jesper Froden available for free.
Froden placed on waivers
It's been several weeks without any waiver action, but here it is!
Froden is quite an interesting forward.
Let's take a look at his recent production:
40 points in 52 games in Sweden's top league in 2021
34 points in 49 games in the AHL in 2022
47 points in 44 games (25 goals) in the AHL this season.
He has been very productive. It's also worth mentioning that he collected 4 points in the NHL this season with the Seattle Kraken and participated in a 2023 NHL playoff game.
We're talking about an intriguing prospect here, according to two Seattle journalists, somewhat similar to a certain Tye Kartye. Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens are likely to do some research on him by tomorrow afternoon.
A case to follow.
More details to come.
