Sidney Crosby's name has been a big talking point in Montreal this summer.
Knowing that he grew up a Canadiens fan, knowing that he absolutely wants to win, knowing that the Pittsburgh Penguins are heading into a long rebuild, and knowing that the Montreal Canadiens are really moving in the right direction.. it's obvious that rumors are swirling about Sidney Crosby.
But what does Crosby think?

We now have the answer, thanks to an excellent interview published by journalist Pierre LeBrun, featuring both Crosby and his agent (Pat Brisson).
Sidney Crosby's Agent Confirms a Trade Is Always a Possibility
Here's the passage that I find most interesting.
"So I asked Brisson again if it was possible that Crosby would one day consider a trade from Pittsburgh."

"I'm answering a question that.. let's just say it's always a possibility, you know?" Brisson replied.
"They haven't made the playoffs for three years.
It all depends on Sid's situation and the team's performance.
I stand by my position: I think Sidney Crosby should be in the playoffs every year.
In my opinion."

And I absolutely agree!
Yes, Sidney Crosby should be in the playoffs every single year!
And it's not going to happen with the Pittsburgh Penguins, at least in my humble opinion.

"I understand," said Crosby.
"Believe me, having grown up a Montreal Canadiens fan, and not being too far from there, I understand their passion."
"I remember-I think it was my first or second year in the league-and I was in Montreal for a CCM event in June.
They were already projecting training camp lines for September.
I thought to myself: 'That's crazy. I've never heard anything like that.
They're so invested.'"
"And I understand why it happens and that kind of speculation.
It doesn't make things any easier when we're losing in Pittsburgh.
But at the same time, knowing that a team like that wants you, it's not the end of the world.
It could have been worse (he smiled)."
