Patrick Roy Stuns His Players by Calling Them Out in Front of Fans Live from Practice
Patrick Roy is clearly not an ordinary coach. Today, during his team's practice, he did something never seen before in New York.
The video is currently making its rounds in the hockey world, and we love it.
Patrick Roy interrupts his practice, takes the microphone, and apologizes to the fans in front of his players
See the footage.
We are not proud of the way we are playing in front of you, but we will continue to work extremely hard to improve.
- Patrick Roy
This is an excerpt from what he said to the Islanders fans present today for their ice session.
Personally, I love seeing this, and it seems to have really been appreciated by the supporters who were there for their morning practice.
Clearly, the Islanders are not having a season up to expectations, and Roy knows this very well.
Because right now, it's pretty tough.
The team has only 33 points in 35 games, and by comparison, the Canadiens (who aren't having an easy season either) have 31 in 34 games.
The difference is that the Canadiens are rebuilding, while the Islanders want to make the playoffs right now.
- Félix Forget, DLC
Yes, it's definitely only Patrick Roy who would do something like this!
