Major turnaround for Patrick Roy and the New York Islanders: Lou Lamoriello's decision is aging very well

It indeed was a significant decision by General Manager Lou Lamoriello to (finally) give Patrick Roy another chance as a head coach in the National Hockey League, and it's a decision that is aging very well!

Initially, Roy experienced mixed results, which is perfectly normal.

He was immediately thrown into the fray and needed time to implement his system and approach.

However, time seems to be proving him right, and it didn't take long.

Turnaround for Patrick Roy: his Islanders are back in the playoff picture!

While it seemed nearly impossible for the Islanders to make the playoffs a few weeks ago, they're back now!

The Islanders are on fire!

Patrick Roy's team lined up six consecutive victories before losing yesterday to the Kings.

And despite yesterday's loss, they are currently sitting in the 8th seed tied with Detroit.

It's quite a turnaround, considering the difficulties experienced when Roy took office.

We will continue to follow this until the end of the season, but clearly, Roy's plan seems to be working!
