However, even though the Devils represent a good opportunity for Kent Hughes to complete a trade, the recent successes of the Canadiens might encourage the organization to keep Jake Evans' services and offer him a new contract at the end of the season.

But the insider indeed stated that we shouldn't expect the Canadiens' general manager to offer the moon to his center to keep him in Montreal.
