We now know what Martin St-Louis yelled at the referee after missed call on Lane Hutson
We were treated to a pretty incredible scene at the Bell Centre during the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota Wild.
The Bell Centre roared when Lane Hutson was assessed a highly controversial penalty.
On the play, the officials raised their arm, and the Canadiens' bench, just like the Bell Centre crowd, turned instantly.
We saw Hutson turn around, then Martin St-Louis stand up, eyes wide, already in full storm mode.
And then it came out, unfiltered.
"It's a f***ing joke!!!" Martin St-Louis yells at the officials.

It's rare to see Martin St-Louis this furious.
He also shouted repeatedly, and rightly so, that Lane Hutson didn't even touch Marcus Foligno.

What stands out is the clarity of the message.
In a tight game, a call like that can change the atmosphere in a second, and the coach reacted like a guy protecting his group.
Last year, defenseman Hutson won the Calder Trophy after a season of 82 games, 6 goals and 60 assists for 66 points.
He even broke a Chris Chelios record among rookie defensemen in Canadiens history, all while being one of the least penalized players in the league.
In the playoffs, Hutson also added 5 assists in 5 games, a sign that he doesn't disappear when things get intense.
So when a questionable call goes against him, it automatically becomes a talking point, both in the stands and behind the bench.
And when St-Louis gets this angry, it's usually because he feels his team deserved better on the play.
