We have action to report on the NHL waiver wire, and it notably involves goaltender Cayden Primeau.

The official confirmation has just come in.
Primeau is no longer with the Montreal Canadiens. He has left the team's roster and has been placed on waivers with the intention of sending him to the Laval Rocket.
It's not just Cayden Primeau; Daniel Torgesson is also involved.

Two Names Placed on the NHL Waiver Wire

See the posts from renowned Elliotte Friedman:
«Daniel Torgesson (WIN) placed on waivers for the purpose of contract termination.»

«Primeau (Montreal) on waivers as the team indicated yesterday.»

And here's the official confirmation from the Montreal Canadiens:
We will find out tomorrow at 2:00 PM what will happen with Cayden Primeau and the Winnipeg Jets forward, but one thing is certain: it's now officially official.
Primeau has been placed on waivers, and his fate is sealed for now.
Primeau, 25 years old, has a record of 2-3-1 this season, with a goals-against average of 4.70 and a historically low save percentage of 0.836.
We sincerely wish him the best of luck moving forward, whether it's with the Laval Rocket or elsewhere in the NHL.
