At the moment when the young Arber Xhekaj was scratched from the lineup and sent to the stands for the first time by Martin St-Louis, trade rumors surfaced.

At the time he was sent down to the Laval Rocket, other trade rumors started buzzing.

However, things have calmed down for a few weeks... until today!

Mathias Brunet and Simon Boisvert have just brought these rumors back into the spotlight. They specifically discussed the trade value of "The Sheriff".

Mathias Brunet believes that Arber Xhekaj is still worth a good first-round pick

It was during their podcast named "Process" that Brunet and Snake discussed it.

"The journalist from La Presse reminded that the defenseman has a good value on the trade market. In fact, Mathias Brunet talks about him as a player who is worth a 'good' first-round pick like Alex Romanov..." - Marc-Olivier Cook, DLC

Boisvert adds that if this is the case, if Xhekaj is worth a good first-round pick, Kent Hughes must trade him.

"If Xhekaj is worth a pick like the #13, go for it, jump on it! That's asset management." - Simon Boisvert

"It's certain that for a #13.. It becomes interesting." - Mathias Brunet

And you, what do you say? Personally, we wouldn't do it.

Why? Because Xhekaj is a unique player and because the CH doesn't have other players like him. They are extremely hard to find.

The only reason we would do it is if Martin St-Louis doesn't use Xhekaj to his full potential and he becomes a 7th defenseman, but we're not there yet.

Remember, Hughes has already refused an offer for a top-6 potential forward in return for WiFi. That says a lot!
