The Canadiens take their time with Patrik Laine injury announcement, aiming for later today or tomorrow
As you know, Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine suffered a serious knee injury against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
We know the Habs are preparing for the worst; we know that Laine was present this morning in Brossard with crutches, and we also know that we are unlikely to see him back on the ice anytime soon.
However, we are still awaiting an official update from the organization on the exact length of his absence.
Chantal Machabée mentions that the organization is taking its time with Patrik Laine's injury and is aiming for Tuesday to make an announcement
That's a very good thing.
The organization wants to take the time to do things right and do its homework (likely consulting a few experts) before making a definitive announcement about Patrik Laine.
We were expecting an announcement this morning, but it didn't happen.
According to what the excellent Chantal Machabée mentioned to reporters, an official announcement could come later today, but the most likely scenario is that it will be announced tomorrow.
No update for Patrik Laine and David Reinbacher for now. The Habs told us we might get an update later today or tomorrow - Patrick Friolet, RDS Rest assured, we will keep you informed to the second when we have news.
It will likely be either tomorrow morning or later tonight.
The same goes for young defenseman David Reinbacher.
Martin St-Louis got very emotional discussing Patrik Laine injury earlier today
