St-Louis Rewards Arber Xhekaj With Key New Role Ahead of Season Debut

The Montreal Canadiens have made a decision that says a lot about young Arber Xhekaj.
The Xhekaj from a few years ago wouldn't believe it (and neither would the Martin St-Louis from a few years ago), but The Sheriff has now officially been given a role on the Canadiens' penalty kill!
Xhekaj has therefore gone, in just a few years, from being a player who needed to seriously work on his defensive game, to being a penalty-killing player!
He can be extremely proud of his progress; this is a great new role entrusted to him, and it speaks volumes about his development!
Martin St-Louis gives Arber Xhekaj a key role on the penalty kill
The loss of David Savard will therefore be partially filled by the young Xhekaj!
This small promotion also seems to confirm that Xhekaj is truly part of Martin St-Louis' plans and that he's likely to remain in the lineup for good!
