We had an interesting moment during the press conference in the last few minutes involving Canadiens forwards Alex Newhook and Patrik Laine.
Newhook, who is now officially Laine's new centerman, has clearly heard the many criticisms directed at the Finnish forward, particularly regarding his defensive play, but he wanted to set the record straight on a few things.
Newhook opened up and came to the defense of his friend and linemate!
It seems like he had been holding it in for a while, and now it finally came out.
Alex Newhook defends Patrik Laine
It's easy to criticize Laine for his defensive play, but we must not forget that offensively, Patrik Laine is a unique player.
That's what Newhook especially wanted to highlight, in his own words.
Newhook on Laine:
"He stinks offense."

And Newhook continued in the same direction, praising Laine's offensive game and his incredible shot.
This happened during today's press conferences, as seen in the following video: (around the 5-minute mark)
It will be interesting to see if chemistry can develop between Alex Newhook and Patrik Laine now that Alex has been promoted to center on the second line.
Joshua Roy will also join them on the second line. The Habs will need strong contributions from their second line if they hope to compete against a powerhouse like the Panthers.
Newhook, 24, has recorded 22 points in 65 games this season. Laine, 26, has recorded 26 points in 35 games this season.
If the Montreal Canadiens hope to make the playoffs, the team will really need these two players.
