The Montreal Canadiens have just called a major announcement, set to take place this Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., but we already have the scoop.

Much like in the NFL, there was an effort to go big for the highly anticipated reveal of the Montreal Canadiens' 2025-26 schedule - but there's been a leak.
"For your planning purposes: the full 2025-26 NHL regular season schedule will drop this Wednesday (July 16th) at 1pm ET

That said, we already have the scoop.
As reported by the excellent Marc-Olivier Cook in his article, there are indeed a few key points to note:
1. The Canadiens will play their first game in Toronto against the Maple Leafs on October 8.

2. The home opener at the Bell Centre is set for October 14, against the Seattle Kraken.

3. Zachary Bolduc will face the St. Louis Blues (and likely Logan Mailloux) on December 7.

4. There will be only four Montreal Canadiens games in February due to the Olympic Games in Italy.

5. The final game of the season will take place on April 12.

Another important detail.. The role of the Canadiens' backup goalie will be extremely important, as the team will have 17 back-to-back game sequences - which is obviously a huge load.

We're already so excited!
