"How did you meet?

It's the famous question we often get asked because I'm from Quebec City and he's from Toronto. We first met on Instagram, but at the time I was studying at Laval University in Quebec City, and he was playing in Laval. He thought Laval University was in Laval, so he had a little surprise when he learned it was a two and a half hour drive. He messaged me thinking I was close, but I wasn't, so our first date was in Trois-Rivières, halfway."

"What attracted you most to him?

He was really funny; he had a great sense of humor that was very similar to mine. I'm very sarcastic, and he would match my sarcasm, so we teased each other a lot and could talk for hours, always having something to say.

Of course, Michael has Italian roots; is he the one who cooks most often?

In the summer, he cooks a lot more. During the season, it's more often me. He cooks pasta and other Italian dishes very well because he eats a lot at home; it's pretty much his specialty.

What would be your favorite dish that he prepares?

He makes an excellent lasagna. It's more of a special occasion meal that he makes a few times a year, and it's a big event when he makes one."

"We learned that he loves cars a lot, is that something he talks about often?

He almost always watches YouTube videos about cars when he has free time [laughs]. It's something we laugh about together. He's always watching car videos; he's really passionate."
