We have our first absence to announce for Team Canada ahead of the Four Nations Faceoff, which kicks off this Wednesday in Montreal.
As the team held its first morning practice today at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard,
Travis Konecny was missing from the session.
Here were the line combinations:
Reinhart - McDavid - Marner
Stone - Crosby - MacKinnon
Marchand - Point - Jarvis
Hagel - Cirelli - Bennett
Toews - Makar
Morrissey - Parayko
Theodore - Doughty
Konecny (unwell) is absent.
Sanheim skated as the seventh defenseman.

Check out various reports on the situation:
«Travis Konecny is not practicing today.
Out with an illness.»
- Elliotte Friedman, Sportsnet
This will be a situation to monitor, as Konecny is undoubtedly a key player.
One thing is for sure, we are extremely excited to see this Canadian lineup in action.
Travis Konecny, 27 years old, is a 5-foot-10, 192-pound forward who was the 24th overall pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2015 NHL Draft (1st round).
He has 61 points in 57 games this season, following a 68-point campaign in 76 games and 61 points in 60 games over the past two seasons.
Quietly, he is on pace for a 90-point season over 82 games.
For now, it looks like
Seth Jarvis has taken Konecny's spot.
