Jakub Dobes shows emotion in the locker room after praise from St-Louis following Avalanche win
The Montreal Canadiens shared the traditional footage of the locker-room celebrations following their victory against the Colorado Avalanche.
This time, the video puts the spotlight on the performance of young goaltender Jakub Dobes, who had a very busy night in front of the net.
We see the goalie returning to the locker room after the game, visibly satisfied with a job well done.
Despite the internal competition, Samuel Montembeault can be seen warmly congratulating his teammate on his performance.
Head coach Martin St-Louis also took a moment to address the team.
He made a meaningful gesture by acknowledging Dobes’ outstanding play in front of the entire group, further strengthening the young man’s confidence.
A nice gesture, and one that did not go unnoticed from head coach Martin St-Louis.
The wolf head is passed into the hands of captain Nick Suzuki
The player-of-the-game presentation ceremony closed out the video sequence.
Jake Evans, who had earned the honor in the previous game, took the floor to name his successor.
It was captain Nick Suzuki who received the famous wolf head, an internal reward symbolizing effort and contribution to the team’s success.
