The name of star forward Kirill Kaprizov has been everywhere for the past few hours.
Personally, I don't believe it at all, even if the Montreal Canadiens now have young
Ivan Demidov (whom Kaprizov would reportedly love to play with), but it's still intriguing to imagine what such a trade could look like.
A very popular page has, in fact, imagined what a potential trade between the Habs and the Wild involving Kaprizov could look like.
Trade Proposal Between the Montreal Canadiens and the Minnesota Wild Involving Kirill Kaprizov
I want to stress that this is just a simple proposal, that this will be the only article on the topic, and that it's purely for entertainment purposes.
So, if you were sitting in general manager Kent Hughes' chair, would you accept this trade?
Kirill Kaprizov, 28, is a 5-foot-10, 202-pound star winger who was a fifth-round pick by the Minnesota Wild in 2015.
He tallied 56 points in 41 games last season, 96 points in 75 games the season before, 75 points in 67 games in 2022-23, and 108 points in 81 games in 2021-22.
And he's never really had a dominant center on his line either!
Over the past few seasons, Kaprizov has averaged (per 82 games) 112 points, 105 points, 92 points, and 109 points.
That said, even though he's extremely good, I'd have a hard time giving up that much for just one player.
