Hughes and the Canadiens May Have Acquired a Gem Destined to Become a Superstar

Kent Hughes has made a few strong acquisitions for the Montreal Canadiens, but one in particular is currently flourishing.
We're obviously talking about goaltender Jacob Fowler.
It's an acquisition that keeps looking better for the Habs, and as Kent Hughes mentioned in an interview with Frank Seravalli, the choice had become unanimous among the Canadiens' scouts at the time of the selection.
"Everyone at the table wanted him with the 69th overall pick in 2023!"
Hughes even added, on the Processus podcast, that Fowler likely would have been the Canadiens' pick at 37th overall (a pick traded in the Alex Newhook deal).

Fowler, who is currently putting on an impressive show with the Laval Rocket during the playoffs, could potentially force the Canadiens' management to act sooner than expected.
Speaking on La Poche Bleue, Max Van Houtte said it's going to be very difficult to remain patient with Fowler.
"All jokes aside, I started watching him more around January at Boston College, and I've watched his playoff games. I'm all for being super patient with him, but honestly, I think it's going to be tough to stay patient because this guy, pressure rolls off him like water off a duck's back.
This guy is totally in his zone. (...) In a playoff game like that, to be able, as a rookie, to not only stay calm, but have the puck just not bounce off him, is incredible."

It will definitely be interesting to watch this situation unfold for the Canadiens.
I also believe in being patient with young players, especially young goalies, but it might start becoming difficult, sooner rather than later, to keep Fowler in Laval.
