Expert Antoine Roussel, notably from TVA Sports, has just proposed a potential price the Canadiens would have to pay to acquire Sidney Crosby in a trade.
And it's an extremely high price.
As you know, across the media in Quebec, many dream of seeing Sidney Crosby join the Montreal Canadiens.
It's true that seeing him alongside
Ivan Demidov would be absolutely incredible-but I find it hard to believe.
Still, this is a topic that refuses to die down for the moment.
Antoine Roussel Weighs In on the Price the Montreal Canadiens Would Have to Pay to Acquire Sidney Crosby in a Trade
According to Roussel, if Kent Hughes wants to pull off a trade for Crosby, he'll have to give up a lot.
"According to Antoine Roussel, on the Sortie de zone podcast, it would cost something like:
Juraj Slafkovsky,
Logan Mailloux, and at least one of this year's two first-round picks." - DLC
And you, would you make that trade?
Personally, I still believe that if Crosby is ever traded, it will be on his own terms, and for that reason, the price won't be that steep.
At 37 years old (38 in August), the Pittsburgh Penguins' captain has a major decision ahead of him. We know about his love for Montreal, but realistically, it still seems unlikely that he'll leave the team he's played with for 20 years!
Will his hunger to make the playoffs outweigh his loyalty to the Pittsburgh Penguins?
This will be a story to watch this summer!
