Canadiens Forward Emil Heineman Accidentally Reveals Bad News About Juraj Slafkovsky
It somewhat confirms the rumor that had been circulating: Slafkovsky is currently injured, and that would explain his absence from the current Ice Hockey World Championship.
His absence had caused quite a stir in Slovakia, but what Heineman just revealed would explain a lot.
Emil Heineman Accidentally Reveals That Juraj Slafkovsky Is Injured
This is a solid find by Raphaël Simard of DansLesCoulisses.
Here are a few of Heineman's statements to a journalist during the World Championship:
"He [Slafkovsky] knows his body, so if he could play, he would definitely come."
- Emil Heineman
That's pretty clear, thank you.
We could therefore add Slafkovsky to the list of Montreal Canadiens players who were playing injured against
the Washington Capitals.
As for Heineman, it's worth mentioning that the forward is having a good World Championship so far with Sweden, and he continues to make a name for himself across the NHL.
This is obviously good news for the Canadiens, and it's encouraging to see that the Swedish leadership holds him in such high regard.
Heineman, 23 years old, recorded 18 points in 62 games this season, including 10 goals, but he had especially an impressive first half of the season.
In the playoffs, Heineman scored one goal in five games against the Washington Capitals.
