Canadiens Announce Patrik Laine Won't Be Travelling With the Team, and Release Statement
He will not be traveling to Washington, against all expectations, and this is starting to become quite concerning.
We can forget about him for tomorrow night's game against Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals.
An extended absence for Patrik Laine
It is truly starting to become worrisome, as Laine will now have missed four games (at a minimum), and possibly more, due to flu-like symptoms.
Let's hope he starts feeling better, because he is really important for the team's success, especially if Martin St-Louis' squad wants to cause an upset and make the playoffs this season.
It's been over a week that he has been sidelined.

«Patrik Laine (illness) will not be traveling with the team to Washington for tomorrow's game against the Caps.» - Priyanta Emrith
Laine, who is 26 years old, 6 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 208 pounds, has accumulated 10 points in 13 games this season with the Canadiens, including 8 goals.
Let's hope to see him back soon, healthy and at 100% of his abilities.
In conclusion, it should be noted that it is indeed Jakub Dobes who will be the starting goaltender tomorrow night against the Washington Capitals.
Surprising decision according to many!
Further details will follow.
