As Martin St-Louis' team faces the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight in Toronto, the lineup will be quite different from what we saw in the first two preseason games.
After all, it makes sense to play the veterans at home and have the younger players travel.
Among the players who will NOT be dressed tonight are
Samuel Montembeault,
Cayden Primeau, Cole Caufield,
Kirby Dach, Nick Suzuki,
Patrik Laine,
David Savard, Laurent Dauphin,
William Trudeau, Logan Mailloux, Juraj Slafkovsky,
Brendan Gallagher,
Josh Anderson, and Mike Matheson.
So, all of these players are expected to have the night off against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Auston Matthews.
We also note the presence of
Max Pacioretty and
Max Domi, two players who have left a mark on Canadiens fans in recent years.
- The Canadiens have just announced that the two goaltenders for tonight will be
Jakub Dobes and
Connor Hughes, who will face quite the challenge.
- The Canadiens also announced that
Riley Kidney and
Brandon Gignac will be playing their first preseason game of the season tonight.
