Personally, I still believe in him 100% and am convinced he still has control of his locker room.
His players still believe in him (rightfully so), as we've seen in the recent comments from his captain, Nick Suzuki
We've also seen this through the recent comments from the young Lane Hutson:
In short, I still believe in him and still think that Martin St-Louis will become one of the best coaches in the world.
However, there is one thing he absolutely must, absolutely must correct.
There were two things, but I believe the other one was addressed very clearly today with the disciplinary session. No more vacations, and no more complacency.
There is, however, another decision that is exactly the kind of choice that could be his undoing (and could eventually cost him his job).
I will try to stay calm and avoid harsh words, but to me, this is an utterly ridiculous decision.
I couldn't have said it better myself.
This is exactly the kind of decision that can make you lose your locker room (which is absolutely not the case at the moment).
It's not too late, not at all, but it's high time for Martin St-Louis, and Kent Hughes as well, to send a serious message to the veterans who think they're at summer camp and believe their spot is 100% guaranteed no matter what.
Imagine how a guy like Jake Evans feels when he sees Christian Dvorak being sent out in a 5-on-3 before him..
