In the last few minutes on the airwaves of BPM Sports, as part of his first column, the renowned insider Pierre LeBrun confirmed a big rumor involving the Montreal Canadiens and the Nashville Predators.

"I can confirm that the two teams (Montreal and Nashville) talked to each other (for the 5th overall pick) [...] It's certain that I think Askarov was at the center of the offers." - Pierre LeBrun

Askarov, 21 years old, is a 6 foot 4 inch, 180-pound goaltender who catches with the right hand. He was a 1st round pick of the Preds in 2020 (11th overall).
