The idea is certainly interesting, but at what cost?
Well-respected Frank Seravalli has just unveiled the likely cost it would take for Kent Hughes to sign Perry this summer.
The verdict:
A contract of one season with a total value of $850,000.
Would you do it?
Perry, 38, collected 5 points in 6 games in the most recent NHL playoff series with the Tampa Bay Lightning (and 25 points in the regular season).
During his stint with the Montreal Canadiens in 2020-21, he amassed 21 points in 49 regular-season games, as well as 10 points in 22 playoff games.
