In 10 days, it will finally be the long-awaited NHL Trade Deadline Day. (on March 21th)

There will be a lot of movement and things have time to change, but for now, the news are not good, really not good for the teams and for the GMs who are "selling" like Kent Hughes and the Habs.

According to Pierre LeBrun, from TSN, the "buyers" do not want to pay, which is obviously very bad for teams like the Habs, who hope to have interesting returns, in exchange for their players. (as Ben Chiarot)

LeBrun has spoken with six NHL general managers in the past few days, and here's what he took away from his conversations:

«In the last 48 hours, 6 general managers have told me that it's frustrating and surprising how quiet it is." -Pierre LeBrun

He adds that, on the whole, the «buyers» do not want to pay the fair price, the one asked by the «sellers», like Kent Hughes. We just recently learned that Hughes hasn't even been offered a simple first-round pick for Chiarot yet, imagine. The offers for the veteran defender don't top the 2nd round pick.

Which is clearly not enough, he is worth more than that, according to many. Chris Johnston added a layer:

«Some concerning news for #TradeCentre host @tsnjamesduthie courtesy of a NHL executive referencing the amount of activity ahead of the March 21 trade deadline: "Quiet. Extremely quiet. Scary how quiet it is. No one wants to commit."

Let's hope things change quickly, otherwise, the leaders of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge could find themselves with big problems to manage.
