Since the official announcement of the Chicago Blackhawks to confirm the hiring of Luke Richardson as their new head coach, many names have been circulating as potential replacements to become Martin St-Louis' new assistant.

Richardson had been an assistant coach with the Montreal Canadiens since 2018 and was extremely well liked by his players.

Among these famous names that have been circulating in recent days, there is that of Patrick Roy:

Joel Bouchard's name.

And as you saw on the L'antichambre publication, two other big names floating around are Francis Bouillon and Alain Nasreddine.

We can now cross the latter name off the list, according to Tony Marinaro.

Nasreddine, 46 and a Montreal native, was the head coach of the New Jersey Devils in 2019-20, and an assistant coach there from 2015 to 2019, as well as from 2020 to 2022. He has a lot of experience and he too is really appreciated by his players.

In short, we can forget about the idea of seeing him in Montreal:

"Canadiens fans: you can cross Alain Nasreddine's name off the list of potential candidates to become the assistant coach. I'm told he's signed with another team. #TheSickPodcast" - Tony Marinaro
