A sad news hit the Montreal Canadiens' entourage this Saturday. We learned on Friday evening that the father of defenseman Joel Edmundson died of a lung cancer.
Recall that the former defender of the St. Louis Blues was absent at the beginning of the season to spend time with his father and his family.
It's a very tough year for the Habs' number 44, who hasn't played a single game yet since the start of the season due to a back injury.
The Fanadiens team wishes to express its deepest condolences to the Edmundson family.
