Two terrible pieces of news and two deaths in the hockey world over the past few hours: Angela Price has just announced the passing of her father, and Rick Jeanneret is no longer with us
Over the past few hours, two notable deaths have been announced in the hockey world.
Firstly, the legendary announcer Rick Jeanneret, one of the greatest in history and the voice of the Buffalo Sabres, passed away last night at the age of 81.
He had just recently retired.
Also, in the past few hours, Angela Price announced some very sad news. She announced the passing of her father via her Instagram account.
Here is her message:
Yesterday we lost my dad.
Words cannot express the immense love and gratitude I have for this amazing man. He provided me with the most wonderful childhood filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
As I navigate this new chapter without him, I hold onto the lessons he taught me and the legacy he leaves behind. Forever grateful for the time we shared and the impact he made on my life.
Rest in peace, Dad. You will be deeply missed, but your love will forever live on in my heart
Angela's father and Carey's stepfather is no longer with us. Our thoughts are sincerely with them during this terrible time.
Our deepest condolences to the entire Price family and to the loved ones of the great Rick Jeanneret.
