In the last few seconds, the Montreal Canadiens announced that they had concluded a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks.
See the official announcement:
"Kent Hughes announced Wednesday that the team has traded forward Cam Hillis to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for defenseman Nicolas Beaudin.
Beaudin, a 23-year-old left-handed defenseman, played 22 career NHL games with Chicago. The Chateauguay, Quebec native had two goals and four assists and served two penalty minutes. The 5'11", 168-pound defenseman, who was a first-round pick by the Blackhawks in 2018 (27th overall), has seven goals and 35 assists in 137 American League games with the Rockford IceHogs." - Montreal Canadiens
So this is a "1 for 1" trade, wow! What a trade by Kent Hughes again!
After Kirby Dach, the Habs will be looking for another recent first round pick from the Hawks.
