The New Jersey Devils have agreed to terms with forward Tomas Tatar for two years worth $4.5 million annually per season. While Tatar was not always there during the big moments (in the playoffs), he is still a great asset in the regular season. With the Canadiens, he had 58 points in 80 games, 61 in 68 and 30 in 50, which is far from bad.
The 30-year-old Slovakian will join a young team that has been looking for experience since the opening of the free agent market. He joins Dougie Hamilton, who signed a monster seven-year that is worth $63 million.
So, after three seasons in Montreal, where he became attached to the city, the logo and his former teammates, Tatar is the other member of the line that was composed by Brendan Gallagher, Phillip Danault and himself. So the only "survivor" of this line remains the little Gallagher.
Thanks for everything Tomas 💙🤍❤
