Rarely are hockey players called by their real name in the locker room. Each has a nickname, and we can tell just by listening to Martin St-Louis, who almost always calls his players by it.
Earlier this season, we had the pleasure of discovering the nickname of young defenseman Arber Xhekaj. We now know that he is called 'Wifi' by his teammates, as Chris Wideman claimed that the defenseman's name strongly resembles a password used to secure his internet network.
With his arrival in the CH lineup, it's now Sean Farrell's turn to be nicknamed by his teammates. This time, it's veteran Joel Edmundson who took the lead. He nicknamed the 21-year-old forward 'Will' in honor of the character Chazz played by Will Ferrell in the movie Blades of Glory.
And no, it's not even because of their names (Farrell vs Ferrell) but rather due to resemblance. Do you see any resemblance?
