The next CH captain would not be Nick Suzuki according to David Pagnotta

Three names stand out in terms of the next captain of the Montreal Canadiens. It will definitely be one of Nick Suzuki, Joel Edmundson and Brendan Gallagher who will wear the C on his jersey next season.
On TSN690 this Wednesday, David Pagnotta said he would be surprised if the next captain of the club was not Gallagher.
His argument is simple, Gally is the heart and soul of the team, regardless of the difficult season he just had. Many of the club's players are inspired by him in the way they work.
It's hard to disagree with Pagnotta. The problem, however, is the number 11's relationship with the officials. The fiery forward is too often targeted by the officials, something that a captain cannot afford in the NHL.
It will be interesting to see what the new staff decides on this issue. This week, the Rangers unveiled Jacob Trouba as their captain, let's hope the CH will follow soon with an announcement. At the golf tournament, who knows...
