Paul Maurice resigned as head coach of the Winnipeg Jets when no one could agree. The 54-year-old had been behind the bench of this formation since the 2013-14 campaign. To take over on an interim basis, the Jets turned to Dave Lowry.
Some believe that this departure could be related to a medical condition, but for now, no details are available. Paul Maurice will meet with the media later today to reveal the reasons for this surprising departure.
The Winnipeg Jets' record is 13-10-5, which is clearly not good enough for the talent this team possesses. They have only won four of their last ten games.
That said, is it time to bring in Claude Julien, Michel Therrien or Alain Vigneault as reinforcements? We're talking here!
UPDATE (11:00 a.m.) - Paul Maurice is a genuine man of great quality. He decided to leave since he was aware that the team needed a new voice. Wow! I tip my hat off to him!
