On Saturday night, the renowned Elliotte Friedman mentioned on Sportsnet that preliminary discussions have taken place in order to trade their star defenseman Erik Karlsson.
The Swede D-man earns $11.5M per year until 2026-2027. Let's just say that his contract won't be easy to move.
However, with his statistics this season, his value has certainly increased.
Karlsson has 35 points in 50 games.
