Let's just say that with his more than 50 years of experience in the Montreal Canadiens organization, Dr. David Mulder is certainly the person best placed to give the truth about the health of goaltender Carey Price. A medical file that attracts a lot of attention in Montreal and Quebec.
Dr. Mulder just spoke to the media and he took the opportunity to provide an important update on Carey's progress.
As reported by our colleagues at Marqueur.com, see what Dr. Mulder had to say about Carey Price:
"It's been very difficult for him (Price), getting back into shape from his knee surgery has been so much longer than anyone anticipated. But he's progressing and he's quite a warrior, he's working very hard to get back on top. His goal has always been to get there as soon as possible and I hope he does."-Dr. David Mulder
The Tricolore's head doctor gives details on how this issue has been handled (and how it has evolved since July):
"We met with him initially with his injury and he wanted to go to New York for surgery, which sometimes happens. Players are encouraged to have surgery in Montreal since it's easier to supervise, but he went to a very established group there. Then we followed his fitness very closely through a program done by our therapists. He has had to deal with several setbacks. A lot of goalies have to settle for a fairly short career, but I expect him to be back."-Dr. David Mulder
Great news here! It's all well and good to hear it from Stephane Waite and several experts, but if Dr. Mulder says it, then we can really believe it.
As reported by Eric Leblanc of RDS, in his opinion (to Dr. Mulder), Carey Price will be able to continue his career for a few seasons. Greetings by the way to Mr. Leblanc for the excellent report. For the interesting details, it's here:
