In the category of weird news, here's a good one: we just officially learned that the Florida Panthers are turning their back on their head coach Andrew Brunette!
Brunette, who was extremely well liked by his players, will not be back as head coach of the Panthers, even though they finished first in the NHL this season.
In addition, Brunette is currently nominated as a finalist for the 2022 Jack Adams Trophy, awarded to the NHL's most outstanding head coach.
"Florida coaching change. Jack Adams finalist Andrew Brunette is OUT as head coach. Paul Maurice would be hired in his place." - Darren Dreger
