The Habs started the week off strong today with a practice and an official team photo.
Among the absent players, there was Shea Weber (that's not new, he wasn't there on the beginning of the season picture either), but there was also Jonathan Drouin.
As for Drouin, let's remember that we are still waiting for his second medical opinion (which he has requested) to know if he can finish the season, or if he has to have surgery on his wrist immediately and end his season. Many have started to speculate (in relation to his absence today), but the Habs revealed earlier today the real reason for Jonathan's absence.
"Forward Jonathan Drouin is still on the COVID-19 protocol and will continue to follow NHL guidelines." - Montreal Canadiens
So he will be in the official photo, but added to the final cut via Photoshop, alongside Josh Anderson.
