The Canadiens confirm the rumor and announce a major change involving two players including Emil Heineman
We were talking about it earlier today, and now it's confirmed!
Martin St-Louis has announced an interesting change to his lineup, as young Emil Heineman will play his first career game in the NHL tonight!
See the Habs announcement:
"Martin St-Louis confirms that Emil Heineman will make his NHL debut tonight against the Wild." - Montreal Canadiens
We are very excited to see him in action.
Remember that young Heineman, acquired from the Calgary Flames in the Tyler Toffoli trade, had a great camp last fall.
With the Laval Rocket, he has 13 points (8 goals) in 18 games. He is 22 years old and was a 43rd overall pick (2nd round) in 2020.
Don't be surprised if he forces the Canadiens to keep him in the lineup longer than expected.
Also, Sam Montembeault will be in net tonight against the Wild.
Details to follow.
