Interesting! It will be interesting to see if he can stand out and possibly return to the 2024 training camp next September.
A nice addition for Ron Choules' troop.
Filion, 21, is a right-handed center who is a former QMJHL player.
He notably played for the Quebec Remparts for three years, from 2019 to 2022 with Patrick Roy, collecting 52 points along the way. (33 points in 66 matches in 2022)
He also amassed 41 points in 48 matches with the Rimouski Oceanic in 2022-23.
The Plessisville native has only three professional-level games of experience in the ECHL. It's also worth noting that he played a game with the University of Quebec, in Trois-Rivières, in this 2023-2024 season.
Welcome to Trois-Rivières, Xavier!
