Shane Wright had a message for Montreal Canadiens fans
Recently, the National Hockey League released a very interesting video, which allows us to go behind the scenes of the 2022 draft.
In the video, Juraj Slafkovsky's sparkling personality is put forward, but we can also see very clearly what happened with Shane Wright.
His every reaction is captured. (after the Montreal, New Jersey and Arizona selections) Also, there is exclusive content and new statements.
Notably, at the 34th minute of the video:
Shane Wright explains that he knows that he will now be an opponent, for the Montreal Canadiens fans, and he knows that he will come to play at the Bell Centre as a visitor, but he had one last message for the Montreal fans:
"I know that when I come back here, I will now be an enemy and I will be playing for the Habs' opponents, but I really want to thank the Montreal Canadiens fans for their incredible support over the past few weeks, even again tonight (draft night)." - Shane Wright
A nice touch from the kid. We also notice in this clip that he got to chat with Yanni Gourde and that he received a text message from a certain Mitch Marner (another former 4th overall pick).
