As our colleague Raphaël Doucet of La Poche Bleue reports, among other things, there's some big news that just came out for Montreal Canadiens fans, especially English-speaking fans.
The popular and colorful CH game writer at TSN690, Dan Robertson, whose voice you surely know, has just left his position and will not be back for next season.
He will no longer be calling Habs games, and it was Robertson himself who announced the news in an interview with TSN Montreal Radio.
According to some reports, Robertson will make the jump to television, possibly as a play-by-play announcer for the Winnipeg Jets. This would be a great promotion for him, but nothing is confirmed.
Dan Robertson, who has been describing CH games for more than eight years, did not want to confirm his next destination, but we will soon have the answer.
As mentioned by the excellent Raph Doucet, TSN690 still hasn't named a replacement, but Sean Campbell could be a prime candidate. He is their current Rocket play-by-play man on TSN690. Stay tuned!
Your voice will be missed!
