Paul Byron and Mike Hoffman skated this morning and both players seemed to be in excellent shape. They increased their pace as they are getting closer to a return to action. Byron is still going through the process as he was supposed to return to action in December.
Arpon Basu had a chance to talk briefly Monday night with Hoffman and he claimed a return to Nashville this weekend was a possibility. If not, he will return to action next Tuesday against the Lightning. That's all speculation, but it remains the current talk about him.
The Tricolore needs both of these elements. Byron is seen as an excellent leader and big brother within the group, while Hoffman remains a formidable weapon on the offensive end. Two very useful elements for the current Montreal Canadiens.
