As we mentioned yesterday, the new fan favorites of the Montreal Canadiens, Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, were (once again) generous with their time this weekend.
They attended an important fundraiser, as this Sunday was indeed the 18th edition of the "Sports celebrity breakfast", a great event that raises money for the Cummings Jewish Center for Seniors.
As part of this event, they took the opportunity to answer a few questions.
You can guess that the reactions were numerous.
Suzuki was also asked about the future of his young teammate, Cole Caufield, in Montreal, and his answer was very clear:
"There is no better place to play than Montreal. I hope Cole Caufield signs a long-term contract with us." - Nick Suzuki
The message is out!
We imagine all Habs fans are hoping for the same thing. What a dynamic duo these two are!
Suzuki, 22 years old, is signed by the CH until 2030 (at 7.875 million per season), while Caufield will have to renew his contract in the summer of 2023. In other words, he will be a restricted free agent in one year.
What kind of deal would you offer to the CH #22? Would you like it to be a long term contract like Suzuki?
