Earlier today, we told you about the important news announced by the Montreal Canadiens concerning some injured players.
The CH had some good news about Cole Caufield:
Less good news about David Savard and Sean Monahan:
We also had a very clear official statement regarding the status of Quebec forward Jonathan Drouin:
"Jonathan Drouin is closing in on a return and continues to be evaluated on a daily basis. He will accompany the team to Ottawa." - Montreal Canadiens
A great announcement, we love it! Doesn't mean he'll face the Sens, but it's certainly encouraging for the future.
Drouin deserves to be back in the game at 100% and to be luckier in the injury department. This is a very important season for him, but in order to show what he can do, he obviously needs to be on the ice and in uniform.
That's really what we want for him.
Drouin, 27, has 4 points in 12 games this season.
Also note this:
More details to come.
