On the most recent episode of the Sick Podcast, with Tony Marinaro, one of the guests was Michel Bergeron.
The former head coach (now an analyst for TVA Sports) spoke openly about various topics concerning the Montreal Canadiens, including current interim head coach Martin St-Louis :
"It's now time to coach. I would like to see Martin, after the game the other night [...] it's time to punish. You don't play if you don't give an effort. The other night, nobody was ready to play." - Michel Bergeron
Do you agree with this approach? Speaking of getting tough with certain players, Bergeron didn't hesitate to do so with Jeff Petry.
Very blunt words. Recall that Petry did ask for a trade, but even so, he had the opportunity to take a long leave of absence and end his season to join his family, but he worked hard to return to the game, to help the team and he did.
One thing is for sure, it will be interesting to see what happens this summer with number 26 of the Tricolore. What would you do if you were Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton?
